Another morning rose on the small colonies developed by Samura on the remote Planet Miyazaki, in the Tottori system. The controlled means of production on the Samura farms meant that the change of the seasons now had little effect on the crops that the Kusarians produced on the developed fields. However, if one were to look beyond the fields, one could say that the lands were experiencing the end of Summer, and a rather warm Autumn was approaching.
This change of seasons meant even less for the inhabitants of the Anijima Base, shrouded in a sub-zero asteroid field of ice and dust, receiving faint traces of the light that the stars of Tottori provided.
The seasons here were more in tune with the events of men, or rather, the events of certain groups of men.
Anijima (兄島 - Elder Brother Island) had a considerable importance amongst all of the Hogosha operations and installations outside of the Planetary regions. The Golden Dragon Casino had the fame, the venerable Kabukicho had the business, but Anijima had the secrecy, the mysterious characteristic befitting of the Hogosha character.
The retainers of Anijima had the considerable of protecting the repository of collective knowledge of the syndicates, as well as keeping the base as the stage where Syndicates could meet amongst themselves in safety and confidentiality, and where the Hogosha could receive their partners and contacts from the large network they had in Kusari and abroad.

From Tokkai Shipping Platform the retainers of Anijima were informed of a new convoy that was heading their way. Preparations had been made in advance for this an other convoys that were bound to arrive soon.
From the surrounding nebula, the figures of a Raba transport escorted by a pair of fighters, followed by a Geisha yacht confirmed that this was one of the convoys they were expecting, and the large bays were open to receive the new guests.
From withing the Geisha came out some people, amongst them an old man in a set of traditional clothes used by the elders of villages and towns.
He moved out of the group, that went to assist on the unloading of the Raba, and presented himself to a group that was waiting for him.
"Well met, brothers of Anijima. I am known as the Fisherman, and I have come to attend the meeting held by the Hogosha Association. I have come come to represent the interests of the Seven Fortunes Syndicate of Shikoku, and their position within the hosting Association." - the old man said, presenting an emblem that confirmed his position as an associate and representative of his syndicate.
"Konnichiwa fellow associate." - replied one of the other men, presenting himself as an associate too - " We have arranged a room for the meeting with the staff, and are please to receive the Seven Fortunes at our table. Please, follow me."
The Fisherman was guided to a conference room, notably one of the smallest ones, where meetings between leaders usually occurred before a larger banquet was thrown to all the members present. The disposition of the room indicated that they expected a small number indeed.
The Fisherman took one of the seats, and was served a tea by one of the staff. He tried to gather his thoughts, as well remembering what purpose had brought him to this meeting.
