You, guys, are definitely bad in math.
Maximal average damage (per second) that fighter can do in the long run = (power recharge per second)*(damage per shot)/(energy drain per shot).
That works if the guns suck more energy than the ship can produce, of course. Which means at least 4 hullbusters for Titan or Raven's Talon.
Now go figure which loadouts allow to kill traders faster.
