Chapter 16: Acoustic Warfare and You

All LPI ships are equipped with noise projection systems that forcibly play over local communications networks. Originally designed as an anti-riot and anti-pirate non-lethal weapon for the Navy, the Long-Range Acoustic Device (LRAD) has since been repurposed for use by the LPI on all standard vessels. Use these to signal that justice has arrived, or if you just want to annoy everybody sitting on top of Newark like they own the place.

Don't let the non-lethal nomenclature fool you, however. The LRAD is more than capable of temporarily deafening people and causing permanent hearing damage, and as such you should use it only in an emergency.

Or just use it whenever you want. I'm just a manual, not a cop.
