How hard would it be to make a client side mod that would change shield hit graphics on their computer? I mean, I have modified things that come off as ugly to me on Discovery, so that they look better. Like the Cerberus turret. I swap the model with something that looks a little more aesthetically pleasing to the eye. I mean, I really dislike lopsided ships, one reason I do not like the Spacial. I like things in Freelancer the same way I like girls: Nice and Symmetrical. BACK ON TOPIC.... It shouldn't be that hard to go in and manually modify the shield you use to instead of showing that annoying white-hexagon annoyance to something nicer...or something you don't use usually... That one fuzzy yellow thing was nice.....
EDIT: Well not really an edit, but an off off topic thing, um... If you are going to change model paths in Discovery, make sure that the change isn't giving you an advantage. I don't know if it matters, but don't switch a fighter gun to use a model from a battleship turret. Besides being ugly as hell, that MIGHT be cheating..
