at least 1/2 or more of the existing ships in game....
most of the ships in conn were white to me

Do you have an ATI R9 by any chance?

I dont know what that is.... maybe i have it maybe not?

Try reinstalling?

reinstalled the 4.88 over again.... is that what you mean? i did that.

In your data folder, check the sizes of the FX and Ships folders. Each should be 11.1 MB and 154 MB respectively
If they are smaller you are definitely missing a few files. If not, whatever files that tell the game to access certain textures are not working properly
