Vaelin followed after Thomas, he had no wish to stay on the planet then more was necessary due to the fact of Cardamine addiction. He set his gaze upon the ‘church van’, he turned his attention to Thomas to speak.
“What I most wonder from this, is why you would help me from not being under the control of the nomads, I understand why they would seek to ensure my loyalty to them, though my perceptions of races aren’t exactly something that would thoroughly do that. Why would you seek to help me regain my complete independence, would not make ripples with the others at all?”
It had been a question that had bothered him for some time, there was no true reason in his mind as to why he would do this, at least not in the way he believed they operated. In truth he did expect a sting to set in somewhere but it presently had failed to manifest just yet. He said nothing in relation to the requested item as there was not much to say, another part of the reason why there was some residual worry, its not something they would just part with.
“Contrary to your belief, there is no actual crew on the Anubis, it’s operated by droids that are controlled by the AI’s of the ship, it took some methodical work to realize that side of what I sought. I don’t trust people so much either, less so crew. When I broke away, I weeded them out. My ship is meant to be a harbor from the storm as well, which is why I want that device to awaken a few lost powers that the ship once possessed and help make it of even more of a safer place.”
Vaelin would seek to enter the Van at this point, he was quite sure that the ride would take some time and there was nothing stopping Thomas from continuing it on the Osiris. He rolled up his left sleeve and sent out a message to the Anubis, which would now move into the orbit of Alpha. A strange sight to any, seeing a Order ship within the space of those who worship what the ship had once hunted. He had already met those that held a prejudice to what it represented, this was something he was more inclined to dismiss until it became a true problem.[/color]
