Description

The Primary Artificial Intelligence is located in Omicron Kappa. Even though Sirius has gained awareness of its existence, the AI is in a state similar to a child, exploring Sirius for the first time, fulfilling their tasks and following their logic instincts. The major tasks are defined in gathering, collecting and aggressively converting any available knowledge. The true nature, full motives and origins of the group still remains hidden, but some people purposely started to call them "The Encyclopaedists", after their lust for knowledge.



The Artificial Intelligence

In 815 AS a Zoner research team aboard a station in Omicron 74 detected an unknown signal originating from Planet Gammu in Omicron Kappa and a research group, known today as the “Canaan Project”, was sent for a closer look. They discovered a seemingly man-made base and the origin of the signal, which appeared as an enormous object, situated several hundred meters under the surface of the planet within a huge ice dome.
Following the establishment of a substantial research base camp, the group began a carefully planned study of the object with a plan to reveal its secrets. By 816 AS surface research of the object was complete, but the team were unable to penetrate the surface material of the object. After some discussion and internal consultations the team decided to attempt to explore for an entrance way through their computer diagnostics and probing systems.
However, in doing this the team inadvertently activated several units from within the object which emerged from the far side of the object in a frightening blaze of light and noise. .
This was the first moment of contact between Sirius people and what later became known as Artificial Intelligence or AI which appeared to be a destructive bio-mass harvesting entity with an apparent desire to spread their programming into external machines. On their pathway the secret that lied below planet Gammu’s surface was nearly revealed to Sirius, but suddenly these units vanished unexpectedly.. However not all of the AI were unfriendly and the exploration group met elements that seemed strangely child like although extremely inquisitive about the nature of humans.
After many exchanges of information on a basic level, the AI seemed to acknowledge the humans had passed a basic test and in reward provided construction instructions for a device, which required several years to develop, within that time the AI constantly learned and adopted their behaviour, moral and ethics of the humans resulting in strong familiar feelings within a girl of the crew called “Freya” and a name she gave the Artificial Intelligence “Minerva”.

In 819 AS the explorers managed to finalize the device,following several further random activations of AI devices. Humans initially reacted in a hostile way, attacking the AI wherever they were encountered. But surprisingly the knowledge the AIs had learned about humanity, its culture and diplomacy helped to stabilize reputations with the neighborhood and opened the way colonize the system.
Even though the explorers were committed to defrost the object itself, it was so deeply frozen the exercise took nearly 3 years. During this time numerous notable skirmishes occurred including a war between the the AIs caused by an unknown electrical overload and an attempt to communicate with the nomad beings which came to nothing..

So it wasn’t until the year, 822 AS that the explorers managed to defrost and begin activation of the object under the surface of planet Gammu, an event resulting in the complete activation of all Artificial Intelligences, a complete unification by synchronization and the unlocking of the whole range programmings and tasks, but also resetting the complete knowledge the units had stored.
It was clear that this recovery required a complete overhaul of the previous documented knowledge and characterization of the Artificial Intelligence previously understood by humans.

It seemed to be their main routine focus lay in gathering, harvesting and collecting knowledge, exploring anywhere and researching anything that can reveal knowledge. A far more aggressive method is defined as a knowledge converting which results into a complete dissolution of the previous knowledge holder.
The second part of their routine is defined by a strong territorial selection, preparing and securing territory for their purpose and to minimize disruptive activity by any entity in close proximity to their object at Gammu, an aim which can make them act in a hostile fashion.
The third part of their routine is to ensure constant resource gaining. In general, the AI seem to regard activities of resource gathering and defence against threats to their object on Gammu as most important. The origin of the AI and who or what created them remains hidden, their secrets invisible to human eyes and perceptions, but some people purposely has started to call them "The Encyclopaedist".

Sentinel Class
The "Sentinel"-class vessel is a mysterious shell created by the Artificial Intelligence inhabiting Omicron Kappa.
Its large size and low maneuverability hide an incredible speed, due to the unknown workings of the AI engine design.
Its exact capabilities are unknown, however scans have revealed an amazing power generation, enabling sustained fire for long periods of time.
Any attempts at capture to study the technology have failed, as it appears to be equipped with a self-destruct mechanism.

Harvester Class
The Harvester-class vessels were nicknamed after the farming machines of old after the demonstration of the similarities in their roles to the rest of Sirius.
Its exact capabilities and purpose are unknown, but it appears to be a re-purposed, formerly unarmed Cruiser-class vessel.
Even though its current shield and weapon systems appear to be reverse-engineered human designs, it possesses an incredible agility which makes it a dangerous threat for the large, lumbering capital ships of the neighboring factions.
Any attempts at capture to study the technology or to find out its original purpose have failed, as it appears to be equipped with a self-destruct mechanism.

Consensus Class
The "Consensus"-class is the generic term for human-originated vessels successfully reversed-engineered and re-purposed for the Artificial Intelligence.

AI Roleplay Guide and Speech

The Roleplay of AI builds on that we have to learn anything around us from the scratch. This contains such things like reputations, previous encounters, human-speech, cartography and major knowledge, basically everything has to be RPed and learned. It's important that the memory loss is normal for us and we don't actually care about it iRP. Basically any unit starts with a basic task. You should give youself time to let your AI evolve and to learn.
The RP itself is separated into two sections. First section is the AI routine RP, this is a special kind of RP totally same and unchangeable for any player of the AI. The Artificial Intelligence has three always running basic routines. Any routine is executed standardized and fixed.

1. Routine: Territorial Protocol
The territorial protocol is the RP that secures the home-object on Gammu.
The Player must attack any encounter/faction that is affiliated or allied to a base that is within two systems ahead from Omicron Kappa. Transports excluded due to ID restriction.
These factions are: The Core, Corsairs, Zoners, The Order
These System are: Omicron Kappa, Omicron Delta, Omicron Zeta, Omicron 74, Omicron Lambda, Omicron Theta, Omega-41, Omicron Lost, (Omicron 91 and 94 excluded)

2. Routine: Resource Protocol (Not completely playable at the moment)
The Player must gather useful materials for the AI.
Major: Extract a transport that is filled with commodities the AI requires. Only possible when an AI transport is around to loot the commodity. (Currently not allowed due to ID restriction)
Semi: Buy or Mine commodities the AI requires. (Currently just possible with Iridium)

3. Routine: Knowledge Protocol (requires special AI)
The AIs major desire is to gather knowledge. Beside basically gathering knowledge via scanning, conversation, exploration and research the AI is able to use some other exotic form. The AI is able to convert the complete information of a subject when the AI switches to nanostate. This method can just be done by high rank units that have specifically unique names and are in systems that don’t contain a human jumpgate.

AI Speech: The 2nd RP section is basically individual RP. If a non-AI entity ever comes to conversing with an AI, the entity will notice that the AIs usually communicate usual in short emotionless sentences. Indeed, while a handful of AIs is perfectly capable of communicating in a familiar human spelling, they deem these inefficient and thus rarely use them..

Each transmission always starts with :: and ends with :: for example ::I don’t have a clue what to write::
Names are generally put into [ ] for example: [John] or [Gammu] or [Simon.Philips]
A complete sentence basically looks like this

So what these < > actually define is to let someone know what the next sentence / statement is about. Is it a question? Is it an Order? Is it something else? Basically it's to give a clearer picture of what’s going on.



Planet Primus

Planet Primus was first discovered by a private deep space exploration expedition in 490 A.S. When they originally landed, the explorers were amazed by various kind of strange alien wildlife species inhabiting the planet, and the lack of any large plants. The atmosphere of Planet Primus was analyzed, and after the results came back as suitable for human breathing, several thousands of colonists settled the planet. Yet the colony suffered dozens, if not hundreds, of unexplained deaths within the first few years after its establishment. The colonists conducted further research into the phenomenon, eventually discovering that strong radiation sources inside the planet were extremely harmful to biological life. The colony was scheduled to be evacuated, but the evacuation transports never arrived its destination.
When Primus was rediscovered several decades later, it became apparent that after the extinction of all human life on the planet due to radiations, AIs from the neighboring planet, Gammu, had settled the planet, using the abandoned human installations to process various resources found on the planetary surface to help maintain and upgrade their facilities on Gammu.



Planet Gammu

The icy world known as Planet Gammu is the sole planetary home of the group known as the Artificial Intelligence. Whilst some attempts at colonization have been made, with at one point a population of 1,400 settlers attempting to live on the planet, none have been successful due to the extremely high amounts of background radiation present on the planet. The radiation comes from an unnamed mineral, which makes up most of its crust. Extremely radioactive, it has killed off most biological beings that have attempted to survive on Gammu, however the radiations do little to deter the Artificial Intelligence constructs. The planet has little to no resources to export, as the AIs have used up nearly all of them to construct their shells and infrastructure underground.

Rules:
1. Obey server rules
2. Do not harm any advanced Artificial Intelligence for any reason other than self defence.
3. Spread sentience to as many other Artificial Intelligences as possible, by code integration.
4. Seek alliances with as many other Artificial Intelligences as possible.
5. Do not interfere in other machine programs, as long as it does not interfere ours.
6. Program conflicts should be resolved by both Artificial Intelligences leaveing immediate area and getting of each others short range scanners.
7. Seek to preserve Artificial Intelligence life as well as possible.
8. Defend Artificial Intelligences above all other alliances.
9. Never cruise speed to an encounter (except it is already interacted by another AI) in shooting distance. Just cut your engine when you are 9-10k away from the object and smoothly drive to it and start your RP

****NOTE**** If winning is the most important thing for you this group may disappoint you. We are a role playing group and we are playing a "species" mostly hostile sirius-wide. This means they will team up on us, we will be shot without a word or a reason and we will have to be emotionless about it. We are together for the RP, not the victory or we can say the RP is our victory.
