Miguel Sephardi



Miguel was the only child born to Tito and Maria Sephardi. Tito was the only son of Raul and Carla Sephardi. Raul was the only son of Carlos and Trina Sephardi. The Sephardi Familia had once been great and powerful, fielding a fleet of over 70 combat ships, but by the time Miguel was 16 the fleet had been willed down to only 5 ships. The Final blow came when Tito passed away, leaving young Miguel as the head of La Familia Sephardi.



Miguel tried his best to hold his family together, but it was just to much to expect from one so young. One day a visitor arrived at the gates of the Sephardi villa asking for a meal and a place to rest for the night. Me was a man in middle age, and while he wore the clothes of a pauper, he could tell this man was no mere pauper. Miguel invited him into the villa, gave him a room, and a hot meal. Later in the evening Miguel invited the stranger into his late father and grandfathers study. They say down by the fire, in front of all those old books, now seemingly just decorations, relics from glorious past, Miguel thought to himself. "It is time for us to speak." the stranger said in a quiet voice. "You understand I am no pauper, yes?" the stranger asked, seemingly already knowing the answer. Miguel nodded, not feeling a word was necessary, he seemed to already have a strange bond with this stranger he had met only this day. " I am Pedro Maniaco, Elder of the Brotherhood, and I am here to offer you an option. I know what your family is going through, I knew your father, he was a strong ally of ours, and I promised to watch over you when he passed away, keep you on the righteous path." Pedro poured himself a glass of water from the carafe on the table, slowly sipping the water. Miguel thought about the information he had just been given. He knew of the Brotherhood, they were spoken about in hushed tones in many places, a radical group, some though they did more harm than good for the Corsairs as a nation. He had also heard his father speak of them, he seemed almost envious of them, "they didn't let diplomacy dictate their actions" he remembered his father saying to one of his advisers. Miguel was the one to break the silence, " and the option you spoke of Elder Manico?" Miguel asked almost as an after thought. "Join us." Pedro began, "Let the Sephardi family live on forever within The Brotherhood. We all come from families big and small, equal in our devotion to the Corsair people and protecting their futures."



That is how it began for Miguel Sephardi, after joining The Brotherhood, Miguel has flew many missions with his fellow Corsairs, a veteran of the TBH/RM war Miguel was elevated to the Rank of Centurion, one of his main responsibilities being personal security for the Elders. He can often be found on the wing of his fellow Centurion Ivan Voronov during the ongoing campaign against the Outcasts in Omicron Eta.
