Salvager and Raba regen counts: too high?

Some salvagers have, but often those are the dumb ones that don't understand you have to regen before your hull reaches zero. The ship isn't invincible, but by Medium Transport standards it's horribly overpowered. Irrelevant of having gunboat turrets or not, why on earth should a medium transport have cruiser regens? From what I've seen in my personal experience, Salvager convoys have insane survivability. JM has no issue fending off trouble. And if they're in a system with dockable bases around, even better. I'd wager that BDS probably shot the Salvagers in Kusari however, therefore that's not really a valid defense of them not being OP, because Junkers have no nearby bases to dock at in Kusari when they get intercepted.

So you are saying that anyone who gets shot down in a salvager is dumb? Are you sure you don't want to rethink that? How does Junkers getting shot down in Kusari invalidate the argument? I remember a specific situation where a convoy of salvagers was shot down within 40k of an NPC GC battleship where they had docking rights. It didn't stop two BDS ships from shredding them. They've also been shot down within range of Yanagi when there used to be a Yanagi. I remember actually being disappointed with the salvager when it was first introduced. Like any ship, you just have to know how to fly it. It is quite vulnerable to someone who actually wants to take the time to hunt. I've been saying for years that the best defense for a salvager is not to be seen.
