I think I see where you are going with this. It sounds like you are saying that if a salvager is within a certain distance of a friendly base it won't be killed if the pilot knows what he's doing. Is that what I'm hearing from you?

Absolutely. And by "knows what he's doing" I mean the pilot has basic smartness to know how to avoid danger. So the average transport pilot.

Ok, so we can confirm that this argument is about what happens when a salvager is within a certain distance of a friendly base. Now, exactly what minute percentage of the space in Sirius, or even Junker ZOI does that cover? Seriously? You're argument is about it being used for trading. That means and a majority of the time it is not within range of a dockable base, unless it's sticking to tradelanes in which case a freighter could dock before getting killed.

There are plenty of people getting killed in Salvagers, but you're argument is that doesn't matter because they don't know what they are doing. I'm sorry, but there are some people who are extremely hard to kill.....not because their ship is OP, but because they are just good pilots. Even you keep making that argument.
