I started out my patrol today in the midst of a pair of Harvesters in Talcara Cruisers being escorted out of Rheinland and proceeded to follow the escorts to the Bering jump gate in Hamburg. That issue being resolved, we moved to Planet New Berlin to get rid of a few unregistered capital class Zoner vessels.
They were seemingly cooperative until Richter reported that they were moving to Dresden and we had to send two of our men to take care of it, leaving Sammler and myself at the planet for guard duty.
At this time a mixed forces wing of Outcasts and Blood Dragons arrived on the scene. I immediately saw them moving toward my position near the docking ring and proceeded to target and fire upon the nearest enemy and signaled for the rest of the squad to pull back to assist us.
As the battle commenced we were four and they five in number, the Outcasts went down quickly with the assistance of a hired Mandalorian. We then proceeded to work on the first of the Blood Dragons in a Catamaran type bomber and felled him in a reasonably short period of time.
This brings me to the focal point of this report. There was but a lone Catamaran bomber left, "What harm could he do?" I thought.
As it turns out, a surprising amount. He proceeded to eliminate the three Rheinland officers on patrol with me along with the Mandalorian all the while restoring his stock of regenerative materials multiple times. We then fought man on man for nearly the whole of an hour, both of us coming perilously close to death several times throughout the fight. At long last, I struck the final blow to him and he went down in a blaze. He never ran, and would not leave with his life. A true pilot of honor.
