[Kusari Uchugun]

Former Home Base - Fort Wakkanai, Hokkaido System

Constructed in 825 A.S., Fort Wakkanai was a large Naval facility situated strategically at the edge of the Unyo cloud to serve multiple roles, as a listening post towards Gallia, a staging ground in northern Kusari and as a training facility for new pilots bound for the nebular theater of the Sigma cluster. Most importantly though, Fort Wakkanai played host to the Naval Operations Headquarters, a sizeable institution of the Naval Forces' command structure handling all incoming data flow from Naval Forces operations. Following the IKN-Sado's retreat from Tohoku and the excessive burden placed upon Tohoku's security divisions to now also safeguard Fort Wakkanai, the station met an untimely end to a large scale Blood Dragon attack. With no spaceborne headquarters at the moment, the Naval Forces command moved into the Kurume District on Planet Kyushu - occupying the Emperor's summer residence there.

The KNF projects itself across Kusari. From Honshu to Kyushu and from Hokkaido to Kepler, Galileo and Sigma-13 (there only staying within range of the jump gate). Ever since 827 A.S. the Naval Forces project Kusari's might in the Tau Sector alongside Kusari's newfound allies of the Harris Alliance.

Possessing ample reserve forces created by nearly a decade of constant warfare, the Naval Forces frequently bolster the much smaller State Police Force and take it upon themselves to provide the majority of security details within Kusari's borders and in star systems directly adjacent.

Expeditionary Interest

While facing a possible second wave of infection, cautious Naval Forces Expeditionary Groups, since the end of the Kusari-Bretonia conflict, have been sent out to the Omicrons to seize the resources and the knowledge hidden in that dangerous area. Irregular cooperation with organizations such as the Core to also counter the terrorist organization the Order also remains on the Expeditionary Groups agenda.
