I wasn't complaining about the lack of balance. Fighting 3 Sabres with 6 Wyrm MK II's each on a Hornviper Falcon is always fun. (The Mission when you go to Sol for the first time, in Dublin.)
And the transport mission isn't 'child's play' when it's more of a frustration contest. The transport doesn't even get to Earth and it slides above the Warp thing and it gets stuck.
Tried replaying, didn't work. Gave up on it.
And besides, the game is sometimes even too easy. Luckily there's a new difficulty bar in the options menu, where people can pick a difficulty to their liking. I haven't found anything particularly hard, even on the hardest difficulty, with the exception of those three Sabres. Had trouble with them.
And- Punisher, the Nomad Carrier mission is one of the easiest on in the whole mod. Besides you being almost impossible to hit, you have smaller nomad NPC's for regens and you can always just use torpedos or mines until you deal enough damage, then a million allied capitals razor the living daylights out of the thing and you win.
What's hard to beat are the Inner Core bastards. Without a proper ship that place is just insane.
But, well- I haven't reached that point in 2.0. Couldn't be arsed to deal with that Transport Mission to Sol. It was bugging me since 1.9, even if I somehow did it on my first playthrough.
It's a shame, really. I had fun playing it the first time, and I was really excited for the final chapter. But I can't get past that mission, and I've lost too many hours in the past to try and make it work, back in 1.9. Didn't want to lose that much time on 2.0.
