To levy the fine, there must have been a house law broken with said fine being the appropriate punishment. Specific instances such as the lpi are more of a grey area, but you cannot cross the line into piracy at any time.

Short answer to your question is no.

However, because some LPI play corrupt cops then it can be acceptable when it is Rp'd out. There is a very thin line sometimes between a corrupt cop and a criminal. Players who RP such a character must be very careful not to cross that line. Any descent into outright piracy will lead to both InRP and ooRP consequences to that charecter/player.

Now we do harass pilots using a few different tactics. One of our favorites are "broken taillights" Though there is no specific law about such things several of the Liberty laws can be interepted to handle many situations. So even though we might just be outright harassing you our actions are still "legal" ish. Also any fines levied in such a situation are intentionally kept small to prevent any abuse.

So if you wanna be a corrupt cop join LPI otherwise you will need to be very careful with your RP.
