Born on Malta as the single son of plantation owners Maurizio spent most of the early years of his life at the family estate. His family was far not among the most wealthy ones, yet his childhood was at least calm, safe... uneventful. It didn't take him long to get bored of it, to look after girls at the age of 14, to look forward to flying at the age of 17, and finally to dive deep into the true life of a Maltese.

In the recent years Malta's powers were shifting amusingly quickly. The fall and disappearance of the Ghosts of Razgriz, the short-lived reign of the Contari Lance, the recent rise of the Crimson Cross, which who knows how long will stand, all of these ensure the harsh dynamism of Maltese politics where power and influence may switch from one side to the other in a matter of days. And in this environment will a young - and maybe relative to his age even a bit naive - boy try his luck to get his slice of life, wealth, power from this whole cake.

Poor soul doesn't even know a lot about what other dangers lie outside Malta, but it won't take long for him to figure out.

"I'd like to find out what it is to belong into a bigger family than my own, a family of my choice. Do not misunderstand me, family above else, and I love my parents, yet I still feel I have more opportunities within the Bloodrose Syndicate than outside it. And I want to prove I'm worthy to be a part of it, and worthy to call myself a Maltese."
