And no chance to clean their bodies?
Well, think about it that way:
They know about the genetical alterations for how long? About 750 years? And didn't do anything themselves to get rid of it. That probably means one of the two following things.
Either
1. There is no way to get rid of the changes in their DNA.
Or
2. They don't want to change their DNA.
What you do with that knowledge is up to you.
Well there is big difference from option 1 and 2 which changes the whole idea of the faction.
