Bounty Hunter Ships

I have to jump in on this just a little bit.

Being a navy person myself and having served a long time, I can see a little bit from teh Liberty side of things as that comes rather close to the navy i serve in.

Some one mentione getting his ship as a DeCom and it was given to captain and crew. I am sorry, I have to seriously question that. No right thinking navy would give away a multi-million cred ship to a old crew, espeicaly a navy crew. First thing they would have done is rotate that crew to other command as well as assigning the Captain a new command or advance him to a higher rate, which still gives him a new command.

The old ship would then spend a unspecified number of years in storage while critical and sensitive components are removed. And only then would they consider what to do with it. In the case of my Navy for example, we either Sell the ship to an Allied Government, scrap it for the steel and anything else salvageable, or scuttle it. Thats it.

Not when i said sell it, i said to an Allied Government. Not to an individual. Even by todays standard, there are far too few who can afford the price of even the smallest "capital" ships we occasinaly sell. And those persons are multi-billionairs who right would not even need millitary hardware.

I understand its easier to but ships ase thats just the way the game is, but I have seen where the rules mentioned something about keeping the ships and eqipment you use as close to faction/id type as possible.

Ok, so some of you are making an effort to change that. Good for you.

But for those who are taking their sweet time or simply not at all, dont be surprised when the people who control the space you inhabit start to take stronger measures against you. After all, its their territory. If you wnat to makes the "rules" for where you live, go out and grab some space for yourself and hold onto it with both fists.

AND if all else fails, go BUY a system. I am under the immpression that that option is possible, though costly. So if you really want it and put the effort into it, then Disco will only become a larger wilder place to live and work as more places are "Discovered", which I am all for.

But thats just my 2cents, lets get back to playing and having fun.
