Previous work:Odd jobs around the mining colony I grew up in as well as a uranium miner after I turned 18

Why the Guild: I grew up on Planet Miura, living in a Ryukyu Guild mining colony. Both my parents worked for the guild, my father was a miner and more recently a mine foreman while my mother was a doctor who had been hired by the guild to help patch up the miners and other colonists when needed. My childhood was rather uneventful and rather pleasant at least until my mother died when I was 16 after she had contracted a rather aggressive disease the year before. Once I turned 18 I started working full time in the mine under the supervision of my father. I quickly learned that while my father feels at home working the mines I yearn for something more and now that the guild has started expand into space I figured I would apply for one of the guild space based divisions.
