I don't think [LN] would work any better without ranks, or with severely different ranks. They provide motivation to interact within the faction, they define who leads both inRP and ooRP, and our division focuses highlight who is best at what and who is most comfortable at leading those sections. Promotions are not necessarily based purely on activity but also merit and ability.

That being said, I don't think LR- would benefit from a ranking system. It's not that kind of faction, and the members don't want it to be. In my experience, people are going to join a faction and expect it to be a certain way. Maybe I'm wrong, but you may just have to be content with LR- being a "pews" faction, because that's what it's set up to be from the outside.
