Good evening Sirius, tonight we bring you the news of breaking ground in the deep Omicrons today, a large battle was fought between the Core and the Corsairs today in Omicron Delta over control of the Corsair Base Yaren, a forward operating base as well as depot for the Corsairs. Protecting Yaren Base was a stationary "Murmillo" Class battleship by the name of the Granada, large numbers of forces on both sides were fighing and even though the Core was pushed back in the beginning of the fight, they made strides in pushing forward and assaulting the battleship, which was eventually destroyed by a final forward push of the Core forces, the fight was spectacular, our reporter, well, he might need a few bandages later... but the Corsairs fought until the end to defend their base, but with Yaren under Core control, and 50,000 Core marines now stationed onboard, one wonders how long the Core can revel in this victory.
