Just a question regarding Sigma-13. How will the Junker-ALG relationship that is so prominent in that system pan out? I have a feeling that those wrecks in that system, if anything, would be taken by ALG and back to the Rheinland, not left to the Junkers. Plus, from what I believe, and I may be totally wrong, but the Junkers are contracted by ALG to clean up the scrap field in places where ALG would rather not go. I'm under the impression that that too would result in ALG taking the major wrecks for itself; not leaving them to the Junkers.

Well look at WHERE the Junkers are contracted to scrap...in radiation fields, by jump holes with rabidly hostile factions (xeno, wild, etc.)

Why do you think ALG contracts them in the first place?

Where are you going to find the most toxic and radioactive sources? In combat ship wrecks that were nuked or have leaking ordinance still on board.

Now look at Junker business ethics...if they find something really valuable amongst the scrap and in a one of those poisoned areas, do you think they will call ALG and say, "Hey--this scrap is really valuable--why don' you take it?"

I was in a real navy and I can tell you what any independent captain will do--it's gonna quietly "disappear"--in the Junker's case to a closed system like Puerto Rico where it won't be seen.

I can also imagine what would be attractive to a Junker might not suit ALG. "One man's trash, another man's treasure."

Our relations with ALG will of course be cordial and non-confrontational.
