Birmingham Field in Manchester will now mine Raw Hydrocarbons at 0.75x instead of 1.0x. Yields approximately 1.5u/asteroid.

It's a shame that the BMM mining field in Manchester gets devaluated. I found the variety of different trading routes good and important, especially for the RP.
The variety of trading routes is able to let you wander trough different systems on the way to your destination, with different kinds of player characters and factions, which in return leads to good RP opportunitys.
For example: RP with the LH in Cortez and Magellan, the Rogues and the LP as well as the Liberty Navy event were really nice and it enhanced the overall experience of the community play.
In the omegas systems I had also some nice RP moments and in my humble oppinion, I think it is the variety of the RP with different factions from different systems that makes the game come to life.
BMF recently established also a growing cooperation with Tinkers Haven in Texas, this and their RP would also be complicated by these changes if there is no reason to travel to liberty with Hydrocarbons.


As of late the mining in the BMM mining field was done not for profit but out of a colegiall motivation because of the extreme low droping rates and spawns.
If someone did want to earn money fast then there are other trading routes and goods that are more profitable.

Saying that "the activity in liberty is high enough and they should fly somewhere else" is nonsense, because the server is animated by his players, and areas of high population density will always exist and they will and should draw other people to them.
Liberty and other sectors need the player exchange with one another. Nobody here wants to play alone.
If someone wants to fly around alone he doesn't need a community to play with him, he could play the single player campaign

We (the affected) have talked a lot about this change. I and a many other people that are not all active in the forum think that these changes for Manchester are very unfortunate, and that it would take away from the fun of the game and the RP experience and therefore It wouldnt do the server any good.

So I want to ask if you would consider to rethink your decision.



As a second suggestion, perhaps the comunication regarding these changes could be made more visible and involve the whole community before the changes come into effect. We are all just player that play the game.

I am convinced we will find a solution that is acceptable for everybody.


Nevertheless: Thank you Admins for your hard work and the private time that you invest in the game.
