It is against your ID to ally with a pirate.
The cops that just gave you off to a pirate made an ID violation.
Period.

If the officer was bribed before letting the pirates kill/pirate the guy then it's not an ID violation.
LPI is corrupt.

If it was the case, it can be justified by roleplay. But since the player can´t know that, I would proceed and report it to let admins examine if there was any roleplay which can justify this behaviour or they violated their ID.
