He was falling…darkness surrounded him and his eyes couldn’t find anywhere to lie upon…but he was falling, endlessly. It seems an eternity since his senses were useless: no sound, no air, no feeling whatsoever, not even the bitter taste of fear in the mouth…

He was falling, or was he not?

He tried to remember. Before the darkness, there was light. Bright lights, and smells too. Ethanol, camphor, subtle esters… A medical facility. The JhC Golden Dawn’s medical facility.

And he was JhC. He was JhC !!!

Like a rock to hold on, he then began to re assemble his identity. The past, the present, glimpse of the future…and the reason why he was there.

The warnings of Kayra, the on board neurobiologist: these machine, although similar in their fields of interaction than holo-bands, were not bounds by the same limits. In built mental safety nets had been removed, thus enhancing the reality simulated into the user’s mind to such level than it became nearly impossible for the mind to make the difference.
The implication of such a potential were wide, from mental illness cure to mind invading protocols. Caution was at hand. But curiosity too, and it is without surprise that he found himself that night trying the machine in the med lab.

He remembers the plunge within, the truly mind blowing sensation of exploring his inner self, the flow trough memories he didn’t even knows were there.

He was climbing up his souvenirs like a ghost, all the way to his birth. And then he fell…into darkness. He was JhC, that he knew for sure. He was JhC…


Lord, hear us as we ask You to rescue
the lost from the domain of darkness
and bring them into the kingdom of Light.
You alone can draw and enable them.

Demolish the strongholds in their minds
that those sins have allowed,
bind the evil spirit away
so darkness shall turn to Light…


The old ‘Prayer for the lost’ came back to him, and praying seemed the best thing to do.
”Father, we ask you to forgive the sin of the lost…”

– I am not your father.

“What ?!”. Did he hear something? Keeping his mental sanity was crucial, and he couldn’t just let himself go.
“Father, we ask you...”

A feminine voice boomed from the void.
– Jeee man, how do I have to tell you? I’m not your old man! What were you expecting, a black dude with a cape and a mask saying I am your father!?...

”I sure am hearing that” he thought for himself

– You sure are! answered the voice.

After a long pause, JhC asked
“So who are you?”

– Well hun, it’s kinda like the toilets back in those places you are living in: if it’s not first on the left, it’s first on the right, so you could say I’m your Mother.

“My mother, you mean, back from the dead with a vengeance or something like that?”

– Nah! Didn’t you notice the capital ‘M’ ?

He was reassured, for his now gone mother wasn’t the best of the souvenir he had to pass trough. So if that voice wasn’t from his tyrannical genitor, that should only mean one thing… He was in the presence of the voice of the Only Goddess.

Weighting his word carefully, he then says
“I have so many things to ask you! That is a unique occasion indeed. First of all, a question that has been burning my lips, what are the four other proof that Heaven is down and Hell is up?”

– “Woo, woo , woo, easy tiger... You don’t get it! I’m not here because you’re the chosen one of something and I shall I reveal to you knowledge that has yet remain hidden to save all you sorry ass from a cataclysmic disaster… I’m here because here I reside, and you have been broth in my presence.

“So I should be in Baffin, near the Geode” he tough for himself.

Good, Alban would have called the TAZ for help in this matter. They sure knew what to do and how to use the pineal amulet he was wearing during the experiment.


The Lord called Samuel a third time,
and Samuel got up and went to Eli and said,
“Here I am; you called me.”
Then Eli realized that
the Lord was calling the boy.
So Eli told Samuel, “Go and lie down,
and if he calls you, say,
‘Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening.'”
So Samuel went and lay down in his place.
The Lord came and stood there,
calling as at the other times, “Samuel! Samuel!”
Then Samuel said, “Speak, for your servant is listening.”.

But the question is: How does one speak with a deity?


“So, how am I to find my way back? I guess my physical body is orbiting around the Geode, but my mind is lost…into my mind! I crawled back up my memories to the point of their origin and then I ended up in this void…”

Embrace the chaos within yourself and follow its path !

Embrace the chaos… He let go of his mind and the last point of reference. He felt like sucked in a maelstrom, twisted in all ways by winds of terrible power.

The Taoist Koan from his childhood came back to him: If all is moving, then nothing is moving.

"I am not falling."

Waves of calm flown within, and the pitch black around slowly gave way to a hazy fog. He opened his eyes and woke up from a near two month coma.




So darkness shall turn to light…
