During a standard traffic control operation at the Honshu jump gate in Sigma-13, a transport was detected in breach of GMG law 2.2. The ship was tagged as {AFC}-Sutakatta[k], a member of a group The Guild has had little to no interaction with and possesses sparse knowledge of. The transport failed to follow Guild directives and was subsequently destroyed. It was later deemed necessary make contact with the Archangels Fighter Club in order to acquire an official response. The message is attached below.
I wish this message was sent on a more positive subject, but unfortunately I must bring to your attention some unsavoury business. A ship bearing your identification was recently intercepted in Sigma-13, which is GMG territory and thus falls under Guild laws and regulations. That in itself is not an issue, however, this ship in particular was carrying a large amount of unregistered ammunition, which is where the problem lies as defined in law 2.2.
When confronted, the pilot of this ship immediately attempted to flee in violation of all instructions, which regrettably left me with no other choice but to open fire on their vessel. After a brief engagement, the ship was destroyed. The fate of the pilot is unknown. Please find attached the communications log of the incident.
[22.11.2015 02:41:19] GMG|Keiji.Namura: Good day, pilot. Please hold for a routine scan.
[22.11.2015 02:41:34] GMG|Keiji.Namura: Cut your engines immediately.
[22.11.2015 02:41:56] GMG|Keiji.Namura: You are carrying cargo deemed contraband by The Guild. Cut your engines or I will be forced to open fire.
[22.11.2015 02:42:03] GMG|Keiji.Namura: I will not ask again.
[22.11.2015 02:42:23] GMG|Keiji.Namura: Very well. Discharging weapons.
[22.11.2015 02:45:30] Death: {AFC}-Sutakatta[k] was put out of action by GMG|Keiji.Namura (Gun).
At this stage, The Guild does not intend on taking any further action. However, the events that have transpired are cause for concern, and as such I must ask the following questions.
Is it known where this cargo was acquired?
Is there any information to share on destination of this cargo?
Are the actions of this pilot representative of AFC as a whole?
I welcome a reply from a representative of the Club soon.
Cordially,
Keiji Namura
A man identifying himself as Sunny responded and denied all responsibility on behalf of his Club, alleging the offending pilot to be acting alone and claimed to be unable to answer questions one and two. His answer to question three was an emphatic no. Traffic control and standard patrols should remain vigilant to ensure any further smuggling operations that might pass through GMG territory, AFC or otherwise, are promptly detected and intercepted.
