Yes, I remember the Gold Rush in Dublin. I remember that I made a Molly pirate specifically for that. I remember having a BMM transport. I remember lots and lots of pirates along the gold ore trade routes. I remember that I was trying to avoid them by taking some very long and risky routes. I remember being attacked on those routes as well. I also remember ~150 players every evening.

Emm, Dublin is a small system, so doing this kind of thing there have made sense. Gallia is a huge house with huge systems. Plus we have PoBs which can be built next to mining zone. And you can't dodge that in your Mollys, can you?

It doesn't mean that he'll let himself be caught. The player list thingie is still there, remember? There's nothing to stop me from avoiding anyone who's after my cargo, especially when you think that I am in absolutely no rush with the way money making/spending works currently.

Good question on what the long-term end goal is. I can't speculate on that.

However, it shouldn't be about their desire to interact. Model the system into bottlenecks which force interaction.

I do agree that some force should be implemented, but it shouldn't be felt like you are forced in this context. In my opinion making money in this game must be necessary to play it, instead of just buying ships. Because with current repair bills and especially ways to avoid them there's really no need to bother yourself with them.
