the basic thought of disco is to keep it freelancer of course. - so no ship from no faction, from LF to BB should be completely restricted to others. - with that in mind, you have of course a chance to fly whatever ship you like - provided everyone who reads your story will agree that you can do it.
i don t care for several paragraphs actually or so many RP story pages like a whole novel, - but when i read the story, i d like to think to myself "oh, my - he really must fly that ship, not only cause he ( the char ) wants but also cause its the only choice he can do for what he is doing."
i am sure you can come up with a good idea of why it is this ship you have to fly. ( i don t agree with hackers being allknowing about everything - having access to most datafiles doesn t mean knowing all. it means to be able to ( with serious efford ) - but doesn t mean they are gods with superior powers ) - it is possible to infiltrate and steal from the hackers, no doubt. as much as its possible to infiltrate and steal from the LSF who are quite professional when it comes to secretkeeping, too. ( and people stole not only one battleship from them, but actually two )
so, no security system is foolproof. - but if you create a story about theft and bribes, which can be good stories indeed, - make it so that the reader is offered something. and - like i said before - the story must not end with the purchase....
... actually, what you write to "GET" the ship is only the prelude, the REAL story just begins at chapter 1, once you get the ship.... and we expect many more chapters:laugh:
