That would be awesome idea for all jumpgates inside borderworld systems. It would make these systems dangerous (at last) for traders and perhaps make them hire actual escorts. Traders already have it too easy, and I write it as a trader, a smuggler, a law authority and a pirate - so I do know how the situation looks like from different points of view.


To add up what @Laura C. said: certain trade ships with decent punch and with HAU/CAU are rather hard to kill even for gunboats. I have learnt it long time ago, while in my inexperience I tried to pirate two armored Bisons - what ended up with my CAU6 gunboat massacred under 2 minutes. Even if they don't fire away, they thrust away to dock with the nearest station.
