I have the same problem.

I'm asked to play at schools, concerts, and other things....But I don't want to advertise it THAT much ALL the time. I like to show off every now and then. But hate it when everyone is on my @$$ goin'

"Hey your the dude that plays that gat! play us a riff!"

"No"

I haven't gotten RSI yet. But fear getting it from playing every time I pick my guitar up.

And I've played for 8 years, but feel no more skilled then I did 4 years ago. I don't consider myself good, but others say I am "teh uber guitarist in teh whole skool, omg...."

Now I know why celebrities shave their heads, and take drugs...ect...ect. They have the same problem!:cool:
