so as long as I survive being attacked, even via running, I'm still allowed to remain in the system or move through it whenever I need to - since i'm more or less a trader?

As a junker I usually consider myself a trader... due to the type of ship I use (transport) and the fact that I'm not an active criminal, terrorist, or member of law enforcement - in all regards we're nuetral as long as we dont start a conflict.
