I would never have made this sort of thread, because devs and admins are usually the people I try my best to keep in good relations with try not to piss off due to obvious reasons, but right now things are getting a tad retarded. Look, I was approached by the HF leader back when LR- was still acting like an official faction and was asked if I wanted to do an event between LR and HF, where if we lost, Alcatraz would get smashed up and the HF would get a base. I politely declined after discussing this with the faction peeps, but a few patches ago, a HF base was just smacked into California without any roleplay done to it.

That was not my proposal. My proposal was to do an event regarding an attack on Alcatraz with an indeterminate result in the case of an HF victory, perhaps making Alcatraz undockable for caps. Ironically an LR victory would've either set back construction of the new HF base or made it undockable for caps or something, but you weren't even interested in attempting an event because of your faction's self proclaimed poorer pvp skills.

I didn't ask anyone. I just put it there, because it was the right thing to do. The HF had two bases they can dock on within Liberty itself, neither belonging to them.

If the Rogues were in a similar situation, I'd have pushed it straight into git without a second thought as well. On that note I owe an apology to the SCRA, whose base we discussed in Newcastle is long overdue.

In addition you've been in this community a long time. I bet I won't find complaints about other factions having bases of theirs appear out of the blue if I bothered to do the appropriate backreading. This is a personal attack and I can understand why, but at least acknowledge that it is. Elsewise you'd be retroactively attacking 80% of Discovery's history.

Okay, the LR- and JM as well as other groups did a RP for about a month about making an unique looking base - a shipyard in Coronado. That got declined because, as the system dev stated, ''I should not ask for things that are a unrealsitic display of power''.

Which dev stated this? I see no issue with your base in Coronado, though it's not going to be mobile like you want it to. The base has simply been on the backburner because frankly we've had more important things to do. (Rheinland update? Kusari? Nomicrons?)

If it'll warm the cockles of your heart so much I'll take the precious time out of my day to throw it in right now, even though you've already got 10+ dockables throughout Liberty.

You're right. @Charos did think it would be a cool idea for the HF to loot the Bering gate instead of having an HF docking ring appear out of nowhere. You know, do a little... background roleplay. Something which you've gone and lost your marbles about not having any of for the base in California. It was also not one post, but an entire thread. You can read it here.

No, you are not going to ignore what other factions need to go through just because you can add it by yourself to the update. You have no reason to have easier terms of adding new content to your faction. I will let your rotating space donger slide, because it is fun to shoot.

It's certainly easier to go through the process of getting new stuff approved when you're in the story chat and have the ability to push things to git, no denying that. With the exception of the base in California where I sidestepped everyone for the sake of my faction members who had been promised a base of our own outside of Vespucci for literally years (Yes, years. Not months, not a year. Years.) I've always had to go through the same process of discussing what does or does not happen with my faction with the rest of the story team. (Fun fact, did you know that in the far future, an actual Navy incursion into Vespucci is planned?)

Side note: Our rotating space donger was actually added by @Alley without my permission while I was homeless. If I had a say in it I would've declined, since I would've rather gotten a heavy cruiser than a BC.
