These are to enhance the RP when you talk/trade/fly without fighting and to give you cozy feeling of how the ship looks inside. Old cockpits, were "fighter" cockpits and really gave no feeling of flying big ship (transport/cap) when in cockpit view, also they were simple and close to nonexistent, equal to "turned off". If you are fan of the old one "unrealistic" cap (fighter) ones, just turn the settings off (3 seconds to do so) and there you go.
Most of my time I fly in cockpit view, even with caps and have used for months several of these bridge with no issue. They are not meant to enhance fighting but RP atmosphere cuz Disco is RP server.
Can you tell me which ships you have issues with bridges? And if possible to upload image taken from game when you are in cockpit view. Would like to see the resolution and view area from your perspective.
