There is no justification for having a POB in the field.
The amount of activity and interaction is denied by these POBs is far too big to ignore the negative impact that they have.
And there should not be ANY dockable structure closer than 20 k from fields. POB or NPC, it should not matter.
The attempts to justify these bases or complain about a base that is a few k away are - sorry - ridiculous.
I just hope that the new field placements kill off POB Bases closer than 20 k to fields.
At some point everybody hopefully understands that this game is not about "securely doing the thing you want to do", but about interaction and risk.
