My name is Matthew Jones, captain of the Green Bay trading vessel, currently flying for Interspace Commerce as part of the secondary trading fleet. I was eagerly skipping through my morning junk mail when I saw something that catched my fancy, which is of course, your broadcast announcing your recruitment initiative. Since me and my friends that are part of my crew (Derrick Skanes (40), chief engineer and gunman; Thomas Hattaway (32), navigator and administrator), are in need of some fresh air, we would all like to apply for the job.

Character background:
I was born in Planet Los Angeles. When I was a boy, I really admired the Navy and I aspired to become a fleet admiral. When I became 16, I volunteered as a recruit for the Navy, and once inside, I regretted it, so I decided to drop the Navy and command my own fleet of freight transports. The business stayed small but good, and I gave it to my younger brother, so I could freelance for bigger companies in the DL-BW transport I was able to acquire on my own. At some point, I met Derrick and Thomas, and since then, we've been flying and trading together.
I have been captain of numerous trading vessels, as a freelancer trader, as part of the secondary trade fleet of Universal Shipping, hired by Synth Foods, and lately, as part of the secondary trade fleet of Interspace Commerce. I specialize in high-risk cargo and long travels.
Motivation for joining Gateway:
We have been trading for the "icy" secondary fleet for some time, and are kinda tired of it, since it is very monotonous. My best times trading for a company were with Synth Foods, who hired us for many different supply contracts. Sadly, that Synth Foods division no longer exists. This is our chance to work for a good company again. Also, we applied long time ago, when the previous board was in charge, but some personal issues prevented us from staying past recruitment.

If you require Derrick's and Thomas' curriculum, I can hand it to you in a future meeting (in case there is one).
Looking forward to hearing from you.
