Nika was not even remotely surprised that he went on the defensive. She couldn't be sure that this person was what he claimed he was, but without a lengthy interrogation it was impossible to find out the truth. Therefore, it really didn't matter what he said. The problem with killing him was that it would draw attention. Sure, a dead nurse happened, but a dead investigator would provoke grave consequences. Unless she found a way to shift the blame away from her, of course.

She decided to lengthen the discussion a bit, give her time on deciding if killing him would be a good Idea. She also couldn't help but notice the slightly amused expression in his eyes - he looked down on her. There was definetely more to him than he claimed.

"Look, we can do this one of two ways. Either, you meet the same fate as Miss Frankenhof, or you spill the beans and I might give you a chance. The choice is yours, and I'd like you to decide quickly. I haven't got all day."

Admitting that she had killed the nurse was another little sting in his direction. She aimed towards two outcomes with it. Either, he would be viewing her in a darker, more threatening light - which would be useful - or he would feel guilty for drawing the innocent woman into this game of life and death. Whichever way it went, it would be beneficial. At least that was what she hoped.
