Provide a brief summary of what your faction has done this month Flying in the Taus, Leeds and Magellan and shooting stuff. Occasional banter with Tau folk and Bretonians. Some poking around in Kusari and Coronado/Cali, but nothing major.
What roleplay has your faction been involved in? Couple of patrol reports. Some talking with IMG (both Indies and official) in 23 etc when paths cross. A trip to Kusari on my part and another's, to investigate the changes caused by the Exiles' return to Kyushu.
Is your faction experiencing problems the community could help with? Almost too many to list, particularly when I'm posting from mobile. That said, I can give it a go:
• tendency of many factions to ignore our RP presence, particularly in Taus. People seem surprised and almost offended that GRN| continues to operate and patrol there, viewing them as some sort of borderworld in practise. I am sick and tired of being accused of metagaming and looking to stifle Tau interaction when I am simply trying to accrue both hours on the tracker and supply something for my faction to do.
• general exclusion of GRN from various areas/events. The whole Nomad 'invasion' of Bretonia one is an excellent example, as was a certain recent Tau-29 event. Our options for in-game interaction are already pretty limited - I don't feel like we need them curtailed further by people putting their fingers in their ears and pretending we aren't real.
• we pretty much always either gank or get ganked - more usually the latter in recent times. There are an awful, awful lot of factions queuing out the door to shoot at us, and about two or three that we can ever shoot alongside. Our playerbase size for events etc is extremely volatile as a result, ranging from total wipeout status to 4-5 GRN versus the world.
• severe lack of avenues for extended non-shooty RP. Less a community problem than a mixture of a playercount, a storyline, and a long-term development one, but a massive portion of our ZoI is permanently dead (Gallia, Gallic Borderworlds) and the rest is teeming with things that either don't want to talk to us or that we have no reason to tolerate either. Compare and contrast to other House militaries, which at least have the option to patrol somewhere with a chance of interaction.
• general anti-Gallia circlejerking that never seems to stop. zzz
Are there any outstanding requests linked to your faction? What happened to California ZoI? I don't know what @Miaou did on that front, but I know I was lobbying for a permanent extension to the official ID only - not a week-long excuse for Indies to park 600 Valors on top of San Diego. Other than that, not a lot that I know of.
Is there anything you would like to add? Hello, I am leading this faction again - for now, at least. @Miaou informs me that he's already posted as such somewhere on the forums that I can't see. Please give me the appropriate permissions ASAP so I can try to refloat the boat, so to speak. I intend to try to revitalise the faction as best I can during this second tenure as leader, as it deserves better than to be relegated to life support with occasional blue messaging. I do not plan on leading long-term, but I hope to at least kickstart a healthy drive of activity, and interactions of all kinds for both the faction itself and those who we cross paths with.
In the meantime, though, anyone who wants anything knows where to find me. I am as open to feedback, criticism and ideas as I ever was.
