The Dark Cycle

Nika hesitated. The gun in her hand moved down a bit, not far, but her determination flickered. The last days finally began to take their toll, and it would most likely be the end of her if she didn't decide quickly. He didn't tell her everything, of that she was certain. Whatever he hid from her would not be exposed in the short window that was left to her, especially since she needed to return to the Nurses' home soon. She came to a conclusion. Whoever he was, he could still be useful. And killing him... She couldn't make herself do that anymore. Not after this day.

"Take the coat from the floor. There's garage on the other side of this door, I assume?"

His slight nod was enough. Reaching into her pocket with the left hand, she threw him a pair of cable binders.

"Restrain yourself with those. To the garage. And make it quick."

While he was moving through the room, she scanned the walls with her gaze, finding what she searched for - the fuse box. Turning off the garage's power would keep him from contacting anyone, and she'd be back in a few hours to take him to a more appropriate prison.

With a not-so-gentle poke of her gun, she forced her prisoner into the fond of his own hovercraft. The last thing he would see would be her silhouette vanishing into the light of his apartment - and then she closed the door. She'd have a call to make and a crime scene to manipulate.
