So if this is your problem. here are the guided steps.

1: Freelancer vanilla and Freelancer discovery uses different installation directory.
2: Install clean non-modded Freelancer vanilla in your preferred installation directory or in default directory.
3: Install Freelancer Discovery (See figures Below)

-3.1: Locate where you installed the Freelancer Vanilla installation.

-3.2: Click Next and Next again.

-3.3: Locate the directory where you wanted the Freelancer Discovery to be installed. Or just to be installed in the default installation directory (C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Discovery Freelancer 4.88.1)

4: If you install the Discovery Freelancer in its default directory you cannot find it since windows sets the \AppData\ into hidden mode. to fix this refer to this link: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-v...ows-vista/
