As far as the op:

If someone's doing cargo piracy they are trolling you, credit piracy is way more profitable.

It's within the rules for them to cargo pirate though, and it is in a sense a good thing. A. If you do nothing other than avoid interactions and powertrade you deserve it. B. It gives a good means for interactions and can encourage cool fights if the traders are willing to actually get escorts. IMG gets lots of fights and encounters, why? Not because the log off like pussies but because they actually get escorts and make fun fights out of pirate encounters.

If you purposely powertrade when no one is around or log off when there is the slightest chance of being pirated you are really what's killing the server. Being caught up with cash and Oorp hatred so much is really bad.


Now for credit piracy, if you refuse to pay 7 million credits and log off when threatend by credit piracy you are even more disgusting. It's really just easier to pay the pirate money than make such a dramatic Oorp hatred out of it.
