^"4. BHG NPC should be removed, they have strictly nothing to do there in Alaska... it is a TOTALLY SECRET MILITARY SYSTEM!"
i don t agree with that point, as i said before. - aparently you do not like them to be there. - which is a valid, but personal opinion. - i can say "the corsairs should be removed from omicron-delta, it is totally silly that they went through the barren and sort of strange system of omicron-kappa that the zoners suffered a lot in to build a BASE in omicron-delta. - zoners did that, they went the route, corsairs - not"
mind, i don t say that... i can find a similiar explanation for many factions that i do not like somewhere, but the fact is that they are there. the BHG fights an open war against the order. that is a disco custom storyline. - therefore the BHG can be found where the order can be found and generally the BHG can be found where the nomads are ( leave the nomad core systems like iota and the hidden omegas ).
i may agree that the BHG might "maybe" not use the alaska gate - but that would not be logical, cause that would mean that the pass through minor to get to alaska. - fact is, ... the BHG fights the order; the order is seen in alaska through a jumphole, the BHG knows about that jumphole and will pursue the order.
removing the BHG from alaska means that the order can get through the jumphole to alaska, but the BHG cannot? - or do we apply the "adjacent zone zoi" to it? - and if not why not?
so i would advice, - better include the BHG in the navy roleplay, cause they are part of it. i know the official factions tend to fight the bhg on a player level, cause its hard to fight them on a RP level. the RP dictates that - allthough the BHG might not be trusted as an official lawful faction, - are still a lawful faction that is highly involved in lawful matters with considerable power.
at that point, - we must move on from the "oh so secret system"- idea. alaska in vanilla was isolated, dead-ended, forlorn. - alaska in disco is NOT. that is/was the choice of igiss to open it up. - due to that fact, we have 4 factions in the system whos presense do make sense. - navy are the owners, the nomads have an interest there from the SP campaign, - the order is the logic followup fighting the nomads, the BHG with the same aims as the order fights the nomads, too - and the order.
and one CAN put a guard navy battlestation / battleship into alaska without upsetting the SP campaign. - just place it at the minor jumphole. - makes sense, too. - a dreadnaught can easily slip through the iceshards in alaska - but will have problems flying through the asteroids in minor. - additionally to that, we know that it is risky for large ships to enter an uncontrollable jumphole ( i.e. a jumphole without a gate contrstuction ) - so the navy would rather leave the dreadnaught in alaska and just send fighters through.
