Guard systems removed by 4.88 Final:
- Alabama (assets going to Cassini, Kansas)
- Ellesmere (assets going to New Hampshire, Virginia) -- system entry to be converted into Sigma-21, something completely different
- Illinois (assets primarily going to Colorado)
- Londonderry (assets primarily merged into Poole, one asset to Omega-49)
- Omicron-74 (assets primarily merged into Omicron Kappa)

Guard systems repurposed by 4.88 Final:
- Hiroshima (better connected to Kusari gate network, external assets received)
- Luneburg (renamed to Sigma-15, external assets added)
- Omega-55 & Omega-58 (systems "divorced" and assets shuffled between, placed on opposite sides of Omegas)
- Omicron Rho (given non-redundant links. More to be done at a later point)
- Omicron-85 (given non-redundant links. More to be done at a later point)
- Omicron-91 (given non-redundant links, external assets received. More to be done at a later point)
- Omicron-94 (renamed to Omicron Xi, placed in Omicron Lambda's spot, connected to Munich)
- Puerto Rico (links changed, assets adjusted)
- Sigma-59 (links changed, assets adjusted)
- Vespucci (links changed, assets adjusted)
- Virginia (links changed, receives assets from Minnesota) -- two "half purpose" systems combined

Excess systems removed by 4.88 Final:
- Chester (assets going to Inverness)
- Dundee (assets going to various locations)
- Humboldt (assets primarily going to Kansas)
- Minnesota (assets primarily going to Virginia)
- Oita (assets going to Hiroshima, Honshu)
- Omicron-81 (assets going to Omicron Beta, Omicron-80)
- Omicron Eta (assets going to various locations)
- Omicron Lambda (assets going to Omicron Kappa, Omicron-91)

Excess systems recycled by 4.88 Final:
- Omicron Zeta (new Omicron, connects to Sigmas)

Systems on the watch list of doom for 4.89 Initial:
Basically, we already have our eyes on these systems in case they become a problem

Excess systems already removed: Lewis (4.88.1), Quebec (4.87), Sigma-60 (4.86), Omega-50 (4.87), Omicron-64 (4.86), Omicron-82 (4.88), Omicron-93 (4.88), Omicron-96 (4.88), Yukon (4.87)

Systems already redesigned: Omega-54 (4.88.4), Poole (4.88), Tau-44 (4.86), Tottori (4.87)

Thirteen systems left to be removed for 4.88, with thirty total removed in 4.88 as a whole. An additional five were removed previously to that, although I may have forgotten about one or two (not counting New Anglia or New Cambria here). Some of these dates might be off by a mod version or two as well.

Remaining former guard systems are considered integrated into the mod. Infocards have (and in some cases, may still need to be) scrubbed of egregious guard-style writing. This list is mostly finalized, but some elements remain WIP and may be subject to further change.
