- Uhm .. let's see. Probably not. You're staying there till this is over. It won't take long if things go the right way.

With that, Reks turned around heading out of the holding room, when a radio message arrived.

~ Sir, sensors on the Foothold are showing a lifesign on board.
~ Got it, just as I suspected. Is everything ready ?
~ Yes Sir, all is set as you ordered.

Reks knew the last hostile would either try to destroy everything or escape. Since the bomb they planted was no longer a threat, the only thing left was finding a way for him to escape. While fighter craf are pilot sensitive, meaning onlythe designated pilot can flyit, the Foothold doesn'thave this hardware equipped. It's a modified transport after all. As Tyler figured, leaving the Foothold unguarded caught the attention of the last bad guy, who will deffinately try to make a run for it. Little did he know Reks was actually waiting for this to happen.

~ Commander Reks, this is Shetland Control, your ship is attempting to take off. What are your orders ?
~ Let it leave Capain, do not fire on it. Just say on it.

While the Foothold left the airlock and seemingly headed towards the trade lanes, Reks started pushing buttons on his wristpad. Everything was going as expected.

~Sir, the Foothold is changing course, it seems to be firing up it's cruise engines. Hold on. According to our nav computer, i's heading towards the systems star.
~ Hook, line and sinker. Just as I expected. That idiot .

Reks couldn't see the captains face, buhe could figure he is sharing the clueless look as Director Saguma.

-Right, since you look like a two year old who lost her teddy bear, let me light youup on this. You see, it was self explanitory that the guy will try to run sincehe can't "purge" us all. So I let him get on the Foothold without throwing the remaining men at him, so noone gets hurt. I mean none of us. However, that guy is in for a surprise. You remember I told you we putthe bomb in the cargo hold of the ship. I've also taken time to reroute the autopilot, so ince it's activated, there is no way to take control of the ship. And since my ships autopilot can be engaged from my datapad.. yeah, poor guy is stuck between a rock and a hard place. Or should I say a bomb and a star.

Reks started walking out again, but as he passed the guard at the dor, he gave him he key of the holding cell Saguma was locked into.

- Once I'm in a safe distance, let her out. Oh, and hope you have some chocolate or a taser gun, cause that'll be a nice storm.

As he walked towards the bridge, he connected to the speaker system of the Shetland , or parts of it which were still functional.

~ This is Commander Tyler Reks , the lockdown is over. I want cleanup teams to do something abou that mess on he ship and return to normal duty. If anyone is keen on causeing more trouble, I still have my guns loaded. Reks out.

A few minutes later, as the Foothold got out of sight , sensors showed it heading straight towards the star of Newcastle. Nothing leftthe ship and nothing got to it, it was doing it's last fight. Onboard the ship, alarms were off, there were parts slowly falling offthe ship, the controls were out, and the last "infected" hostile was helplessly trying to get the ship turning. Untill the moment it got too close to the star and the heat generated inside the OSC|Foothold set the bomb off, causing a massive detonation. Cameras of the Shetland registered it, although it didn't look more than some firework on a parade.

The End
