Vaelin
It had been months since his run-in with his brother. The glass he now looked at held the visage of a man was identical to him, all except for the badly healed scar on the side of his face. Leaving both the stasis pod and cryogenic chamber he made his way toward the bridge. He had been laying low for the last few months to ensure that what tampering the nomads had done on his physique was rectified and he was once again of his own free will. His brother had been abnormally quiet and Vaelin had assumed his brother would have taken the advantage of his absence, but it appeared he had been as quiet as Vaelin. During his near complete isolation, he had been productive. Previously having garnered the supplies he needed for repairs to the cloaking device as well as a surplus for the inevitable mishap. Though repaired to near specifications, the once continuous cloak was now only temporary and required external power to hold the effect, this fact annoyed him and he knew it was not optimized, though he felt safer now that it was not completely inert. During his self-imposed isolation, it was his sister who provided the company that staved off cabin fever. Thinking of his duties to his family was always a point of considerable guilt and belittling knowing that he was a bad father and a horrible and absent father. Vaelins gazed turned to the bridges viewing ports and onto the vessel: The Eye of Horus which remained stationary on the starboard side, maintaining its constant vigil. An unmarked transport also was slightly removed from the military ships and stationary, it’s responsibility was gathering supplies for the Anubis and the Horus that either couldn't simply get during the few times they docked at shipyards or freeport stations. The Anubis housed a small number of residence, all were those who sought protection from corporations in which they didn't have the power to resist, some had opted to help him as a way of paying their due while others simply left. Since Vaelins disappearance, they had a protocol to find a safe region of Sirius to buckled down in and become essentially sleeper agents. Settling into the captain's chair he turned his attention to the abyss. Allowing his mind to wander, he could almost hear the commotion that teemed on the bridge back in the vessels earlier days, when the Black Squadron was still about, of the incoming shouts as ships tried to breach Toledo’s defence perimeter. Tearing his mind from the past and focusing on the present, he initiated the Anubis’ bridge terminals. A holographic Hud hand in the air before his seat, For the next hour, he busied himself with ensuring that all checks were complete so he could ignite the belly of the beast.

It took two weeks before the Anubis finally came upon the fringes of what could be considered civilization. Omicron lost had always been one of the favoured systems of Vaelin, a place of tranquillity that was right in the heart of a region so prone to anarchy. Vaelin moved to the navigation console where he set a course for the last known location for the Jumphole to Omicron Delta, his least favoured system. The Eye of Horus remained in lost in the shadow of the planet keeping a vigil on Omicron Delta from afar, while the Anubis utilizing its cloaking device to conceal it as it jumped to Omicron Delta. Before the Anubis’ departure from the system it had left behind a sensor probe, to detect if any cloaked ships sliped through while the Horus was left alone. Once in Omicron Delta the Anubis set course for Freeport Eleven and moored with the station upon its arrival. Vaelin used the time that it took for the mooring crew to load the provisions, to send word out to his people letting them know that he was once again active. He didn't tell them his reason for his disappearance nor did he have an intention of doing so, though he theorised that in the future, it might come back to bite him in the arse. For now it wasn't a concern and that’s how he hoped it would stay. Upon the mooring couples detaching as he set the Anubis’ course back to delta, he took notice of a vessel coming upon scanners. The Eye had not warned him of it as it was but a Transport class ship, his interest in it was with who it belonged to. He returned to his captain's chair to broadcast on the local chat. He had heard rumours of them prior to his leaving, about their adeptness with high-tech devices and Like a dog to a bone set out to deliver a sales pitch. Despite the paranoia in that he needed to get the ship moving he stayed and talked to the captain for a small length of time. Putting forward his intended deal and asking him to pass it along.

Once more the Anubis set off toward Omicron Lost under cloak. After tractoring in the probe left at the jumphole, the ship itself moved toward the Resheph with Vaelin transferring over to the transport ship. It was weeks later when he arrived at his destination within the sigma quadrant. Hours onto that he was aboard Newport station, being dropped off with the supplies picked up along the way. Broadcasting a string of activation codes to the Sigma sector, the Wolf’s Den making it’s way towards Newport, with hours to spare Vaelin headed toward the bar, after only spending a half hour in the bar he moved on finding no jobs that were in line with his repertoire. Vaelin spent the next few hours sleeping in the room he had brought having secured the door against intrusion. Now on the Wolf’s Den and sitting in the pilot’s seat he left Newport seeking to stay there no longer than needed. His next destination didn't take as long as the prior thanks to being able to pilot and move more freely. He took time looking over the notes of the disguise he had assumed with this ship.
