I dislike how definitions are different from ID to ID.
For example:
Interspace Commerce ID
Quote:-Can attack Lane Hackers at will
Hellfire Legion ID
Quote:-Can attack Liberty Navy, Liberty Police, Liberty Security Force and treat the transports belonging to them as combat targets
Does this mean that Interspace cannot attack Transports? What about Hellfire Legion, can't they attack Freighters?
Simple solution:
-Can attack Faction X, including trade ships.
Next case, repeating lines that can be condensed:
-Can defend itself, ships and bases of the same affiliation, and allied ships
-Can escort ships of the same affiliation and allied ships
Merge into this:
-Can defend and escort allied ships; bases of the same affiliation
Absolutely same meaning, because ships of same affiliation is allied ship.
Next case, lines about allying with unlawfuls/lawfuls:
-Cannot ally with unlawfuls or participate in unlawful actions
-Cannot ally with any lawfuls
It creates a problem when lawful might be semi-allied with unlawful. For example, Bretonia doesn't hold Outcasts as enemies. But rulewise, they are prohibited to roleplay being "allied" for a combat against Corsairs, for example.
Solution:
-Cannot ally with hostile ships participate in unlawful actions
-Cannot ally with hostile ships
This would allow groups to ally/group against their common enemies without fear of being sanctioned for plausible and logical roleplay.
