Misguided Light - The Story of Tarlach: The Exiled Nomad

For his own reason, Tarlach decided to store his memories here, within the minishare, here on this abandoned hive, for his own reference. Later, he will remember these moments to reflect on what he has become and what has changed.

He was hatched from the Shrine, like any other Morph. He seemed to be different though. he always wanted to learn about the human species. They seemed interesting, especially this one human he met, Raven. Something about her emotions and past made him feel no aggression towards her. Even when he matured into the mindshare, he still didn't seek harm to her.

Tarlach followed her through space nearly every solar day, wondering what she would do one day, and then the next. That's all he remembers doing back then. Every day, Tarlach followed Raven.

After a long time of interaction with Raven though, he made a decision that would change his existence forever. Raven's energy seemed to grow on him, like an airborne disease. Tarlach replicated her emotions and desires, and that's likely why he has been "corrupted" or "domesticated" as some humans refer to him. Because of Raven "infecting" him with her energy, Tarlach decided to separate from the mindshare, and side with the humans for the better of the universe. He hated this pointless aggression that may make both of our species extinct someday, if his kind can even become extinct that is. The humans prevented the Nomads from leaving our nest to safety, and they instead came in and made a disaster of the hypergate at the Dyson Sphere.

His kind raged war against the humans. All they wanted to do was leave, but the humans never let them. He made a promise to bring neutrality between the two species, however preposterous that may sound, and save what the humans label as "Sirius" from destruction.

A side effect of leaving the mindshare though, was that he lost most of his memories. Tarlach retained his individuality and emotions, but most of what he remembered was gone. He had to find a new place to save his "data". Tarlach finally found an old abandoned hive in Chester; it was capable of holding him and everything he needed. It was his new home. He lives there even now, inside the safe haven.

Now that he has a save point for my memories and mind, Tarlach can venture out and collect more information on the human species. Raven will be what Tarlach refers to as "his Guardian", and his number one source of information, because he trusts her. She is...his friend.
