The cruiser imo isn't really good, though. Compare it to the Rheinland cruiser size-wise, as well as the firing arcs. You will learn to hate it.
They said the same when I bought my Sarissa where it was really crap, no cerb nerf. At least I managed to get not useless with this ship and managed to kill several ships in a 1v1.
