[The holo-vid flashes on and shows a youngish looking man slapping the side of the camera]

"Is this thing on? Peice a junk... oh, hi!"

[The man straightens up, realizing the transmission is active, and speaks]

"Uh... not sure where to start... oh right, my name! My name is Troy Carter, sirs; I's a civilian on planet houston, and I'd like ta apply for training at the LPI academy to become an officer a the law.

I ain't got much flight experience... reckon it could be a problem, never even been in space..."

[The man hesitates, realizing that revealing such a weakness would probably reflect poorly on his application. He shrugs it off and continues]

"Anyways, I got some flyin experience, 'family owns this old broken down starflier we'd use for dustin the fields in the spring, I can pilot 'er pretty well, though I dont suppose that gots anythin to do with space..."

[He sits back again, a clearly frustrated look on his face for not having made this a pre-recorded message]

"Anyways, if ya deem me worthy... I'd like ta join your fine company, after goin' through tha proper trainin and such... of course...

Thanks for yer time officers, hope I wasn' a bother."

[The comm screen flickers and blanks out]

// Ok, now for the OORP bit... I hold a lot of respect for the LPI players I've seen here on discovery so far. They might not fly the toughest ships, or have fancy capships or class 10 codenames and nomad guns, but they more than make up for it with the best RP i've seen on the server (with the exception of Rivaura role playing his/her entire crew... that's just astounding). Anyways, I cant say I like the other liberty lawful factions much, I've had plenty of problems with them and half the time they dont even seem to RP, they just blaze their guns at everything that doesnt salute them. Regardless, I didnt come here to flame anyone, quite the opposite...
