This statement was in reference to the NFZ not being governed by server rules. It was not a carte blanche excuse for your faction to constantly violate your ID and basic rules of engagement. Nowhere in your ID does it allow you to attack a Zoner ship, unless he, by definition(half shields), attacks you. I don't think the guy landed a single shot before your group decided to blast him. And yes, he did reengage, for which he got Bastilled.
Next, you went toward Freeport 11 and attacked a Zoner Carrier, who never even fired a shot at you, nor was involved in the conflict. A clear ID violation.
EDIT: And damn it, ppl, quit with this "we need Lyth for this and that" bullcrap. You don't need Lyth, you need responsible leadership, and if Lyth is as responsible as to get himself banned for a while with a silly vid, then again for a bit more time with attempt at ban evasion, he is the last one you need here.
