Aboard the Hutoka

Commander Bashier made his way towards the back part of the ship. There, assembled in a secure conference room were the department heads of the ship. The Chief Engineer, Chief Medical Officer, Head of Security, Chief Scientist and his first officer were all present.

As Bashier entered, his crew stood at attention.
"At ease, Gentlemen," he instructed with a smile. He took his seat at the head of the table and the others followed.
He then began to explain things. "In front of each of you is case file 901. This isn't your prototypical mission. As we speak, we are now buried beneath the desert here on Nauru. Only a few people know where we are and those people are friendlies. We will be meeting with them soon enough. Your file will tell of our mission here. Once read, that entire file will self-delete and be non-recoverable."
He then paused to allow his staff to read the file.

"I'm a little confused," stated the chief medical officer, "beneath the desert? In Core territory? I'm no engineer but an Aquilon carrier isn't exactly meant for that environment."
"No, it isn't," answered the chief engineer as he took some reports and readings from around the ship, "but the ship is more than able to handle it. The newer drive systems don't need to vent near as much and I should be able to take whatever waste and re-process it. My only concern will be when we do leave the blowing sand. For now, you have nothing to worry about."
"Yes but medical goods," continued the medical officer, "our biodome only produces so much."
"Trust me when I say, Christian, that you will get all of the medical goods you will need," interrupted Bashier with a big smile, "That will be the least of your worries." With that, Christian sat down.

"Mr. Decker, can you have your security teams ready should we need them?" asked the commander.
"Sir, I have a security team of about five hundred," he answered, "I can't go on a full assault with that but I can damn sure keep this ship secure. With your permission, we'll conduct some drills on ship, some of which will include all staff to include yourself."
Bashier just nodded and answered, "Granted."

"If you don't mind, Mr. Decker, I would like to be active in that," requested the first officer.
"I would be honored, Sir," replied Decker.

"Christian, my science team will work closely with the medical staff," stated the science officer, "I'm thinking that we can get some stuff accomplished together.... a LOT accomplished."

Bashier nodded with a light smile, "It sounds like we have the beginnings of a plan. Gentlemen, take the rest of today and tonight to get your departments settled and figured. I don't have any straight information for anyone right now so be prepared for a lot of FRAGOS.
We'll meet tomorrow morning at 0900 for more discussion. For now, I need you, Mr. Decker and a small security detail. We'll have some visitors soon enough and we'll need to assist them."

Bashier and Decker left to where the entry into the ship would be dug.
