While I agree it wouldn't make much sense if BMF spammed cruisers, not to mention so far BMM ID does not allow them, if BMF want to SRP one cruiser, and come up with a logical and sound story about it, where's the problem in that?
In case you didn't notice, in Rheinland corporation does have a cruiser - ALG. They prepared good rp story about obtaining the ship, they lobbied for it to be allowed in Rheinland, and here we go: http://discoverygc.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=139669
Zak Conner also does have a point - IMG has cruisers (please let's not derail the thread into "should it" subject), and its house competitors may feel threatened. They may see a need to counter that in some ways.
